Speck the Altar Boy, by Margaret Ahern

Strip run:  1974 - 1979

Speck the Altar Boy chronicles the story of a mischievous but lovable youngster who keeps getting into one mess after another. The strip was drawn by Margaret Ahern, whose work appeared in several newspapers worldwide.  In addition to Speck the Altar Boy, she also drew Little Reggie, Our Parish (1973, 1975 - 1979), and Beano.  She passed away in 1999.

In researching this strip, there was another titled An Altar Boy Named Speck, first drawn by Tut Le Blanc from 1953 to 1954, and then drawn by Ahern from 1955 to 1973.  I believe the strip must have then been renamed to Speck the Altar Boy, but I'm not certain.  If anyone has any additional information on this strip, please let me know!
