Asylum on 5th Street, by Jin Wicked

Asylum on 5th Street is another incredible webcomic created by Jin Wicked.  It's almost like a reality show;  the strip starts out with Jin developing a new comic, and then running auditions for the cast.  The strip then basically becomes a "Real World" type setting, with the artist, writer, and cast members all living together in an old asylum.  The only difference is, what happens in their lives is determined by what the artist and writer create.  Insanity ensues, as not even the writer and artist are immune to the hijinks that take place.  I can't speak enough about how incredible Jin's art is, and the writing is wonderful as well.

Asylum on 5th Street was discontinued on January 26, 2006 due to the strip not realizing Jin's desired level of success and for other personal reasons, and the archives are no longer available to the general public.  Although it was a beautiful strip (as you will see below), please respect Jin's wishes by not pestering her about the strip and its continuation as she has no plans on keeping it going at this time and wants to move on to other projects.

Jin has, however, graciously allowed me to display some of the original art from the strip here, so enjoy!

Though the strip has been discontinued and the archives no longer available, there is still a placeholder for Asylum on 5th Street where the strip once resided.  You can read more about its conclusion by clicking on the link below.
