The Devil's Panties, by Jennie Breeden

The Devil's Panties is a semiautobiographical webcomic by Jennie Breeden.  It's a fun glimpse into the life of Jennie as she stumbles through work, play, and romance.  Even with her occasional misspellings (an issue she addresses very eloquently here;  great job, Jennie!), the strip is still very enjoyable with wonderful art.

Here's the history of The Devil's Panties, in Jennie's own words:

"I wanted to call it 'Realities Victem' but whenever someone heard the title 'Devils Panties' they'd stop...... 'Devils what?!'  My friend DJ took the name from a quote from 'Miss Congeniality'.  She was going to use it for the title of her band.  She doesn't play an instrument though.

"In college, I majored in Comics, whenever something happened or someone said something funny instead of writing it in a journal I'd draw it.  3rd year of college a roommate made a comment about fan mail, I looked up 'Fan mail?  You get fan mail?!  I want fan mail!'  So he helped me put my comics up online along with his Stripteasecomic.com.

"I take everything directly from life which everyone said was a little dangerous but I sad "I use my friends as characters, how bad could it get?.....

"[name blacked out] used to be the main character she then asked to be removed from the strip.  I don't use friends in the comic anymore.  But I still take directly from life.  There's nothing more bizarre than REALITY."

There is a TON of art to display here, so here we go.

I'll start it out with the actual comic strip daily art, and then follow it with a bunch of other sketches, scribbles, inks, and prints that were sent to me by Jennie.  Are you ready?  Let's go!

Example of The Devil's Panties dailies by Jennie Breeden, October 8 and 10, 2001 (the bottom one is of unknown date).  These are inks over a copy of the pencils (Jennie couldn't find the original pencils), but are the original inks nonetheless.

Example of The Devil's Panties daily by Jennie Breeden, February 7, 2002.  This one is also both pencil and ink.  I particularly like this one because I'm a civil engineer myself.
